With San Antonio having one of the greatest regular seasons of all times, it is difficult to see why they have to make roster moves. Unfortunately, Father Time waits for no team.
The San Antonio Spurs had one of the best regular seasons of all time, going 67-15. Unfortunately there was another history-making team in the league, the Golden State Warriors, who had the best regular season of all time, going 73-9.
Still, San Antonio set their own history going 40-1 at home, tying the best ever home record in an NBA season.
It is hard to believe that a team that set a record like that needs to make any moves. The problem is that the Spurs are another year older and they got beat in the playoffs by a younger, more athletic Oklahoma City Thunder.
I am sure it gets said every year: “San Antonio is getting too old.” Unfortunately, I think this is the year it becomes true.

Tim Duncan and Andre Miller and 40. Manu Ginobili is 38, and Rasual Butler, Matt Bonner, David West, Tony Parker and Boris Diaw are all in their middle to upper 30’s.
Still, it is not all doom and gloom for San Antonio. LaMarcus Aldridge is 30, while Danny Green, Patty Mills, Boban Marjanovic and Jonathon Simmons are all in their mid to late 20’s.
In the best news, their franchise player, Kawhi Leonard is only 24. Leonard has won the Defensive Player of the Year Award twice in a row and is only going to get better.
However, based on the age of the roster, here are five moves the San Antonio Spurs need to make.
