Point Guard: Kyrie Irving vs. Stephen Curry

This is undoubtedly the most exciting matchup of the 2016 NBA Finals. Stephen Curry is the better starter, and Shaun Livingston’s presence of the bench rounds out the positional advantage for the Golden State Warriors.

There’s simply no way around how explosive of a scorer Kyrie Irving is becoming, or how tantalizing a matchup this projects to be.

During Game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals, Curry posted XX points and X assists in a Warriors win. Prior to dislocating his knee, however, Irving was going tit-for-tat with Curry, posting XX points, X assists,  X rebounds, and X steals.

If we get seven games of that, we’ll all be better basketball fans because of it.

Irving does provide some measure of uncertainty due to his inexperience in the NBA Finals. If he plays at his highest possible level, and Curry does the same, however, this will be a series with explosive point guard production.

Although not a star, the presence of the pesky Matthew Dellavedova is nothing short of critical, as well.
