Deyonta Davis – Michigan State

Year: Freshman
Measurements: 6’10.5″, 237.2 lbs.
Stats: 18.6 MPG, 7.5 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 1.8 Blocks Per Game (BPG)
Slash Line: .598/.000/.605

Deyonta Davis showed great athleticism in his one season at Michigan State. He proved himself as a shot strong rebounder, tenacious shot blocker with a good base to his offensive game.

Davis, 19, is slated to go as a lottery pick in DE’s mock draft 10th overall to the Milwaukee Bucks. He should be a lottery pick based on his height and athleticism, alone. He has a 9-foot-0.5 standing reach, which proves that he has great length as a rebounder or shot blocker.

He is a player that plays with good instincts. His one season at Michigan State proved that he can play team defense and is a good passer, despite only averaging 0.7 assists per game.  He needs to develop his offensive game to become an All-Star caliber player.

Based on his rebounding and defensive potential, Davis will be a lottery pick and could slide into the Top 10. He should be a solid defensive player in the NBA. With greater offensive ability, Davis could prove to be a special player as he grows into his body.
