The 2016 NBA Draft pool is loaded with talented prospects that could become stars or bust out of the NBA. This year’s draft pool seems to be a weaker class, according to Bleacher Report, though the strength of it may not be determined until several years down the road.

With a new rule that allows NBA Draft prospects to go through the draft process and return to the college ranks, as long as they don’t hire an agent, there are a plethora of prospects to choose from, and only 60 players will be selected on June 23rd, the day of the 2016 NBA Draft.

Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram look like locks to go in the top two picks, but from there anything can happen. Whether it is a player’s athleticism or talent level, there are many reasons for one to be drafted to a particular spot.

Teams will draft the best player available or they may draft for their team’s needs.

The NBA is evolving into a more athletic style of play. Teams are stretching the court with power forwards that can shoot three’s, handle the basketball and defend multiple positions. There are less players with a back-to-the-basket type of game, and if they do they are likely a center.

Some of the most intriguing prospects are due to their athleticism and using that potential to fill their role as a player. There are some shorter prospects and some taller prospects on this list.

A few could be lottery picks when the draft occurs and others could be selected in the second round.
