2. Los Angeles Lakers: Kristaps Porzingis

Had the Lakers taken a chance on Kristaps Porzingis last year they would’ve endured the same boos and chants that the New York Knicks did on draft night because of the uncertainty that surrounded his transition to the NBA game.

That fan base would’ve also been wrong, as Porzingis proved he’s got a spot in this league for years to come as a potential star down low.

His versatility and athleticism from the center spot (his long-term position) is everything a team wants nowadays in this era of “pace and space” basketball, and he also showed a knack for grabbing rebounds on both ends of the floor and blocking shots with relative ease thanks to his reach and wingspan.

Porzingis is the prototypical big man of the future and I bet Los Angeles wishes they had him.
