Analysis

After four tremendous years, Yogi Ferrell has solidified his place as one of the best players in Indiana Hoosiers history. The fearless point guard took on all tasks as he and head coach Tom Crean resurrected Indiana and made it relevant again.

In the final performance of his collegiate career, Ferrell made one heck of a statement to NBA Draft pundits.

Ferrell scored 25 points against Marcus Paige and the Tar Heels, putting his most important of skills on display. He got to the free throw line 10 times, sank four shots from 3-point range, and kept his turnover total down as he unsuccessfully attempted to pull Indiana back into this game.

Ferrell will likely come off the board in the second round, but he will receive an opportunity to play in the NBA.

Ferrell has developed into one of the very best point guards on the college basketball front. He’s shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc, is one of the Top 10 facilitators in this draft class, and has the quickness to drive against bigger point guards, and the body control to draw contact and get to the line.

Ferrell isn’t the defensive ace that some teams may be looking for, but he could potentially thrive as a sixth man in the NBA.
