13. “Havlicek stole the ball!”

The voice of the late Johnny Most describing John Havlicek’s theft of an inbounds pass with five seconds to play to ice Game 7 of the 1965 Eastern Conference finals is an integral part of any Celtics’ history lesson.

“Havlicek steals it. Over to Sam Jones. Havlicek stole the ball! It’s all over! Johnny Havlicek stole the ball!” Boston won that game 110-109 and go on to once again beat the Lakers for the NBA championship.

Hondo would win eight titles in Boston, score 26,395 career points and average 20.8 points per game. He was named to 13 NBA All-Star teams. He was selected to the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984.
