Every NBA Team’s Signature Season

Lost in Western Conference semifinals
With the arrival of Chris Paul in 2011-12, Lob City was born and the Los Angeles Clippers took a big leap forward into relevance.
The peak thus far in the Clippers’ relevance was in 2014-15, when led by Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, they beat the San Antonio Spurs in likely the greatest first-round series ever played only to blow a 3-1 series lead against the Houston Rockets and lose in the conference semifinals.
The Clippers had the best offensive rating in the NBA in 2014-15, scoring 112.4 points per 100 possessions thanks to the contributions of Paul and Griffin in particular. Paul averaged 19.1 points per game on .485/.398/.900 shooting splits, adding 10.2 assists per game, and Griffin added 21.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
While it’s a disappointment that the Clippers were not able to hold off the Rockets and make it to the Western Conference Finals last season, the franchise has come a long way from the dark days of Donald Sterling.
