6. Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers

Myles Turner is a special talent, there’s no question about it. Any 7-footer who can block shots and make three-point shots will get looks from NBA teams, but Turner didn’t get enough looks and serious attention.

His production in college was stellar in terms of advanced metrics but he didn’t consistently perform against top schools. There were also concerns about his running motion and that potentially leading to injury concerns at the next level.

Turner has dispelled all that and has performed at a high level as a starter for the Pacers. He looks like the potential second star in Indiana next to Paul George and has a promising future.

Had he started from the beginning of the season his position in the race for best rookie in the league would stand higher than what it is now.
