Nos. 29-21

29. Luis Montero — Averaging 1.9 points and 3.3 minutes per game for the Portland Trail Blazers this season, Luis Montero has only appeared in seven games while posting a paltry field goal percentage of 38.5.

28. Norman Powell — Playing behind Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and Cory Joseph hasn’t afforded Norman Powell many opportunities yet. He’s averaging 1.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.5 minutes per game over 31 appearances with the Toronto Raptors, though he’s shooting a dismal 31.5 percent from the field and 19 percent from three-point range.

27. R.J. Hunter — The numbers don’t really do R.J. Hunter’s game justice, since he’s barely gotten the time he might earn elsewhere in the Boston Celtics‘ incredibly crowded backcourt. This prospect pegged as a shooter will need to improve on his 31.7 percent shooting (24.5 percent from deep) as he earns more playing time than 9.0 minutes per game over 29 games.

26. Sergey Karasev — If you’re hardly playing for the 18-48 Brooklyn Nets, you probably have some work to do. Karasev is averaging 1.5 points in 7.5 minutes per game over 31 appearances, shooting 39.5 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from three-point range.

25. Johnny O’Bryant III — Johnny O’Bryant has played in more games than anyone in the 29-21 range on this list with 55 appearances, but he’s averaging a meager 2.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game for the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s also not ideal when you’re a 6’9″ power forward shooting 38.6 percent from the floor.

24. Spencer Dinwiddie — Spencer Dinwiddie gets the benefit of the doubt since he showed flashes of potential as a rookie, but he’s failed to carve out a role in Stan Van Gundy’s rotation this year, appearing in only nine games despite averaging 4.4 points in 12.3 minutes per game.

23. Darrun Hilliard — Darrun Hilliard has gotten some run with the Detroit Pistons at times this season, appearing in 32 games while averaging 3.7 points and 1.0 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game. He’s also shot 36.6 percent from three-point range (albeit on a limited number of attempts), which is something he can build on moving past his rookie season.

22. Glenn Robinson III — Glenn Robinson III has filtered in and out of Frank Vogel’s rotation, averaging 3.9 points and 1.6 rebounds per game in 40 appearances. He’s shot 43.3 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from three-point territory for the Indiana Pacers.

21. Richaun Holmes — Richaun Holmes is the closest thing to a productive rotation player in this group, averaging 5.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game for the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Despite his atrocious 18.6 percent shooting from long range, he’s shot 51.9 percent from the floor overall and has played in 49 games this season.
