2016 NBA Rookie Ladder: Jahlil Okafor Making A Comeback?
5. Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns
It’s only fitting that one of the top prospects in this year’s rookie class is as sweet of a shooter as Booker is.
He’s hitting threes at an impressive clip (39.7 percent) and has since shown the ability to take his man off the dribble and finish or make plays inside. That’s where he needs to grow his game moving forward because his versatility as a scorer will be the difference between him being a primary or secondary option on a playoff team.
Booker has opportunities to shine with Eric Bledsoe out for the remainder of the year and so far he’s taken advantage with multiple high-scoring affairs. It’ll be interesting to see how close he gets to the Klay Thompson comparison down the line.
