6. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets

Jokic is already the Nuggets’ best big man despite the promising development of Jusuf Nurkic last season.

The potential of Jokic is higher because of his shooting stroke and passing ability. There have been plenty of reports that Jokic hasn’t even been in great shape since the start of the season, and yet he holds the second-highest PER among rookies at 22.24.

He shouldn’t have to hand his starting spot over to anyone because he’s earned it, both through his production and the eye test.

Jokic is a surprising and fun prospect in this year’s rookie class, and I look forward to watching him more in the future.
