NBA Trade Deadline 2016: Charting The Deadlines Of The Kobe Bryant Era

2004 The Detroit Pistons
The final touch to the 2004 Champion Detroit Pistons.
Chauncey Billups said something I liked about Rasheed Wallace in the Players Tribune last week.
"Who? Nah, just kidding. With Sheed, you’ll know who. But you won’t really know. In fact, before the trade, you’ll only know Sheed by reputation: some of it good … some of it not so good."
Sheed was the good, the bad, the frustration, and the salvation of Detroit. A player who was complicated in emotion and sound in game. Just as likely to get you a technical as he was to give you 20-10, the man was ahead of his time as a NBA entertainer.
The Deal
It was a three way trade between the Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, and Boston Celtics. The Pistons landed Wallace and Mike James. The Hawks got Bob Sura, Zeljko Rebraca, and a first-round pick that became Josh Smith. The Celtics got Chucky Atkins, Lindsey Hunter, and a first-round pick that became Tony Allen.
