Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks likely won’t win a title this season. But in the postseason anything can happen, and the Mavs have a lot of experience and one of the NBA’s best coaches on their side. They also have great team chemistry–this team flows perfectly together.

So Dallas shouldn’t try to gamble that chemistry to push the talent level on this team a step further. That’s what the Mavericks did last season in trading for Rajon Rondo, and that move tanked their championship hopes real quick.

The Mavericks have been this good because they feature many intelligent players who know this system and their roles in it perfectly. Adding in pieces would unnecessarily complicate things.

In the twilight of Dirk Nowitzki‘s magnificent career, all Dallas wants to do is compete. Right now, the Mavericks are a dangerous team that can make anybody sweat. If they make another disaster of a trade and lose the magic they have right now, they’ll be heading towards another sad first round exit in the postseason.
