Ti’s Four-Point Play: NBA Trade Rumors Abound, But These Four Teams Don’t Need To Trade Anybody

Philadelphia 76ers
There are a few good reasons the Philadelphia 76ers won’t be very active on deadline day. The first is that they suck. They’re a very bad team and most of their good players aren’t going to be up for grabs. It’s not like the Sixers need any more draft picks anyway.

Carl Landry might be available, but now that Jerry Colangelo is helping to steer the ship the 76ers seem to enjoy having some veteran leadership around. The 32-year-old Landry is ancient by Philadelphian standards.
Thanks to their $10 million in cap space, the Sixers can take on players from other teams fairly easily. But not many contenders that would like to dump salary have the draft picks Philly would want to make a move.
Eventually, the 76ers will need to do something about having too many centers. But Joel Embiid has no value at the moment, and Philadelphia won’t want to give up on Jahlil Okafor or Nerlens Noel to keep on Embiid. So for now, the 76ers will likely hold pat at the deadline.
