Michigan Wolverines

RPI: 42
Record vs. Top 50 RPI: 2-5
Best Win: 70-67 vs. Maryland
Worst Loss: 74-60 vs. Connecticut (neutral)
Best Remaining Game: Feb. 6 vs. Michigan State

Just like last season, Caris LeVert‘s absence is hindering Michigan’s postseason possibilities. LeVert has missed the last nine games. The Wolverine’s haven’t completely fallen off the wagon without him, though any longer and it could be another missed NCAA tournament.

Both Lunardi and Palm have Michigan as a seventh seed, but that was before Indiana destroyed the Wolverines this week. They’ll likely be a lower seed in the next projections.

Getting LeVert back is important. John Beilein says that it could be soon, which will certainly help. Beyond that, it’s a matter of winning big games, of which there are a number still on the schedule.

Home meetings with Michigan State, Purdue and Iowa, as well as another meeting with Maryland are left in terms of big games, as well as the Big Ten tournament. Michigan has the chances at their disposal to get it done.
