Best Bargains

Gerald Green ($3,900) had a good game against the Mavericks in their first meeting this season. He scored 19 points and was very active on the offensive end, yielding a 26.8-fantasy point performance. He shot 61.5 percent from the field in that contest, and could have against the 25th team versus shooting guards.

Wesley Johnson ($4,200) is scoring 21.5 FPPG in his last six games. He will likely want to have a strong showing against the team that selected him fourth overall in the 2012 NBA Draft. If he attacks the basket, he should have a good offensive showing. He’s been scoring above his 6.7 points per game season average as of late, and believe he will continue that success.

Players To Sit

Jrue Holiday ($7,000) has been playing well as of late. However he only shot 7.1 percent from the field against the Grizzlies in his last game. He shouldn’t have that poor of a shooting night against the Spurs, but he should struggle against the top defensive team in the league. At his price point, there are cheaper options that should score better than he will.

Rudy Gay ($7,200) has a matchup that I’m not crazy about. The Bulls are 27th against small forwards, but expect Jimmy Butler to handle the defensive matchups when Gay is on the court. That is what draws me away from Gay, despite him scoring 41.5 FPPG in his last six games.

A couple of lineup notes, if Hassan Whiteside can’t go then Amare Stoudemire should have another 20-plus fantasy point game. Nicolas Batum is doubtful (toe) against the Cavs tonight, which could lead to a big performance for the Cavs wings. It also means that P.J. Hairston may get another start.

J.J. Barea will likely start at point guard for Deron Williams, who Mavs’ head coach Rick Carlisle is “concerned” about.
