Top Four Cs

  1. Brook Lopez (Nets) – $7,400 vs. Pistons (26th)
  2. Andre Drummond (Pistons) – $8,600 @ Nets (25th)
  3. Al Horford (Hawks) – $6,700 vs. Mavericks (5th)
  4. Rudy Gobert (Jazz) – $6,700 vs. Bulls (29th)

Rationale:

  • Lopez is scoring 43.0 FPPG in two meetings with the Pistons this season. He’s been hot in his last four games, scoring 50.1 FPPG. He has a favorable matchup against Drummond, who doesn’t do well against face-up centers.
  • Drummond’s production has dropped, but he’s scoring 49.1 FPPG in two meetings with the Nets this season. He’s no longer the most expensive center, due to his tough two games against the Cavs and Raptors in which he scored 35.3 FPPG. He should bounce back against the Nets.
  • Horford scored 37.5 fantasy points in his first matchup with the Mavs. Dallas is 15th in opponent field goal percentage (.446) and 25th in opponent rebounding percentage (.486), which should benefit Horford.
  • Gobert looked strong in three games last week, scoring 37.4 FPPG. He had two double-doubles and averaged 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game during that span. His rebounding and defense will be key to returning value. Rebounds won’t come easy against Pau Gasol, who doesn’t always play around the rim.
