Best Bargains

Dion Waiters ($4,400) should return value against the Wizards on Monday night. He shot 70 percent from the field against them and scored 25 points. That translated to a 30-fantasy point performance in 23 minutes. Since he’s been inserted into the starting lineup, due to Andre Roberson‘s absence, he’s averaging 35.6 minutes per game. Playing against the league’s worst team versus shooting guards, it’s a favorable matchup that should return value.

Omri Casspi ($5,500) is a little more on the expensive side for my “best bargain” picks, but he may have the best chance at returning value. He plays against the Bucks, who are second-worst against small forwards. He previously scored 37.8 fantasy points against them. The fact that he plays around 30 minutes per game is also beneficial. It could be a big night for both of the Kings’ small forwards.

Players To Sit

Jrue Holiday ($7,400) is the guard that might have the highest opportunity of not returning value. He’s the seventh-most expensive guard and has seen his price rise from $6,400 to $7,400 in a three-game span. Despite averaging 46.1 FPPG in his last three contests, he may not hit that same value on Monday. He’s only scoring 29.6 FPPG in two meetings with the Grizzlies, which is around his season average. It may be best to sit Holiday and go with a guard that’s more likely to return value.

More from Hoops Habit

Ryan Anderson ($6,900) is the forward that could miss out on returning value. He scored 47.5 fantasy points against the Nets on Saturday, despite coming off the bench. His value rose due to starting two games for the then-injured Anthony Davis. In his first start, he was priced at $5,800 and now he’s all the way up to $6,900 and coming off the bench. With a tougher opponent like the Grizzlies, he might not reach the 40-fantasy point mark.

One lineup note, the Wizards have been starting forward Jared Dudley at the power forward position in replace of Nene Hilario. Dudley and Nene have the same price tag for Monday night, but head coach Randy Wittman may adjust his lineup against Serge Ibaka and the Thunder. Be sure to check the lineups to draft the starter for Monday.
