1. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have high-caliber players at virtually every position. Paul Millsap and Al Horford make up one of the NBA’s elite interiors, Kyle Korver is a marksman, and both Jeff Teague and Dennis Schroder display star flashes at point guard.

What’s missing is an isolation scoring threat.

This has been a weakness in Atlanta since the formation of their now contending-caliber rotation. The Hawks are good enough to have reached the Eastern Conference Finals in 2015, but need a player who can exploit openings off the bounce.

Tyreke Evans has all of the skills to be that player.

Evans’ ability to create penetration would work excellently within an offense that has an abundance of floor-spacing players. Even Horford and Millsap have shooting range, which creates the potential for drive-and-dish magic.

More hoops habit: Is Paul Millsap a Top 20 player in the modern NBA?

As for his weak jumper, if any coach this side of Gregg Popovich can teach Evans how to shoot, it’s Mike Budenholzer.
