The 2015-16 NBA regular season has been one for the ages. Two teams are on pace to win 69-plus games, a third fired its head coach while in possession of the best record in the Eastern Conference, and a fourth has been quietly elite over the past two months.

The question on most mines is simpler to digest that the complexity of team success: what about the players?

The NBA Player Power Rankings have been utilized as a tool to evaluate the best in the NBA since the beginning of the 2015-16 season. In every one of those releases, a common theme has existed: no one can catch Stephen Curry.

Yet.

Much could change over Curry’s next 36 games, but after what we’ve seen thus far, it’s hard to imagine anyone passing the reigning MVP in his pursuit of a second consecutive award. He’s been individually dominant on a team that’s been even greater.

The question is, who has the best shot at preventing Curry from maintaining his reign?
