5. Free Throw Shooting

This may seem like a relatively random weakness to list in the Top 5, but free throw shooting is often the difference between winning and losing close games. Unfortunately for Cleveland, that’s an area in which it struggles mightily.

Thus far in 2015-16, the Cavaliers are No. 26 in free throw percentage.

In all fairness, the Golden State Warriors are No. 20 in said category. They also shoot a respectable 75.4 percent from the charity stripe, while Cleveland converts just 72.1 percent of its freebies—less than three out of every four attempts.

That all starts with LeBron James.

James is as well-rounded a player as we’ve ever seen, but he continues to hurt his team at the free throw line. He’s shooting just 71.1 percent on the season, which hurts given his average of 6.8 attempts per game.

Worst of all, Cleveland is shooting 73.7 percent from the free throw line during clutch situations—No. 22 in the Association.
