What must Tyronn Lue do to elevate the Cleveland Cavaliers from the best in the Eastern Conference to the No. 1 team in the NBA?

The Tyronn Lue era is officially underway. Freshly removed from the Cleveland Cavaliers shockingly firing David Blatt, Lue signed a multi-year contract to be the new head coach of the most dominant team in the Eastern Conference.

The question is, what can Lue do better than Blatt?

Blatt led the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in 2015. He had the team positioned at No. 1 in the Eastern Conference at the time of his firing. Blatt also had a long history of being publicly criticized for being unable to tame the Cavaliers’ Big Three.

What resulted was his untimely firing.

Now what?

Cleveland didn’t start the Lue era on a high note, but one game hardly establishes what’s set to transpire. Lue could fail, but he could also prosper as the head coach of a team that’s built to win right now.

What must he change in order to do so?
