19. Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers

Last Rank: No. 17

Position: Power Forward

Age: 26

Slash Line: .508/.353/.725

Season Averages: 34.9 MPG, 23.2 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 1.6 ORPG, 5.0 APG, 0.7 BPG, 0.6 SPG

Blake Griffin hasn’t played a game for the Los Angeles Clippers since Christmas Day of 2015. Despite his extended absence, Los Angeles has won 10 of its past 11 outings.

The Clippers may be firing on all cylinders without Griffin, but they’re a better team when he’s out there.

Griffin was playing at a Top 10 level before partially tearing a quadricep tendon. He checked in at No. 6 in the Player Power Rankings before his injury, and has the potential to get back to that ranking once he returns to good health.

Until then, it’d be tough to justify placing an inactive Griffin above the players who currently rank ahead of him.

Griffin is inching closer to his long-awaited return. He was listed as doubtful for Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, which is a major upgrade from the previously definitive, “Out.”

Assuming he returns to the level he was playing at earlier this season, Griffin’s ranking is all but guaranteed to improve.
