Paul Millsap and the Atlanta Hawks fail to generate headlines across the NBA. That’s primarily due to the fact that Atlanta would need to go 34-5 the rest of the way to reach 60 wins for the second consecutive season.

True as that may be, it’d be silly to dismiss Millsap as anything but a Top 20 player in 2015-16.

Millsap is one of the most well-rounded players in the NBA. His offensive game includes mid and low-post versatility, a 3-point jump shot, a presence on the boards, and an underrated handle, while his defensive attack features the versatility to take on players at both forward positions.

What that adds up to is Millsap being invaluable, as evidenced by his ranking of No. 9 in the NBA in Win Shares.

The 30-year-old displayed his value with 23 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, four blocks, and two steals on 10-of-18 shooting at the Milwaukee Bucks. He then posted 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting against the Brooklyn Nets, 13 points, 12 boards, six assists, two blocks, and a steal against the Orlando Magic, and dropped 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting at the Portland Trail Blazers.

Millsap has, quite easily, been one of the Top 20 players in the NBA in 2015-16.
