Lillard continues to carry the Portland Trail Blazers along with backcourt counterpart C.J. McCollum. This past week, Lillard had multiple impressive scoring performances, unfortunately they only resulted into one win out of four games.

Lillard’s best outing came against the Golden State Warriors when he lit up the score sheet for 40 points on 12-for-27 shooting. In the only win of the week agains the Oklahoma City Thunder, Lillard finished with 31 points for the game, but was absolutely cold-blooded in the fourth scoring 17 points in the last 3:07 to escape with a 115-110 victory.

The Trail Blazers are 10th in the Western Conference and trail the eighth-place Utah Jazz by 2.5 games. Taking into consideration all the players they lost this past summer, the Trail Blazers could be argued as one of the most surprising teams so far this NBA season. Although it will be a daunting task, Lillard looks to keep his squad in the playoff race as the season progresses.
