2016 NBA Rookie Ladder: How High Is D’angelo Russell’s Ceiling?
8. Justise Winslow, Miami Heat
It’s hard to take Winslow out of these rankings because of how hard he plays on both ends of the floor.
His offensive game isn’t pretty because of his lack of a midrange game, but he attacks the rim with ferocity and can spot-up from deep when needed.
Inconsistency is a common theme among rookies and it’s been Winslow’s middle name so far this season, as he’s only shooting 39.3 percent from the field.
The defense is still there though. Winslow’s been a valuable wing defender and that won’t change as the year goes on. His effort and toughness will keep him among the best rookies in the class.
