4. Chicago Bulls

Over the last few weeks, we’ve heard about every sort of turmoil coming out of the Windy City, but the Chicago Bulls keep winning. However, with Joakim Noah being an unrestricted free agent this summer and Pau Gasol owning a player option, there have been plenty of rumors circulating about which players in Chicago’s frontcourt logjam could be on the trading block.

If Taj Gibson is truly available, perhaps that’d be a suitable course of action for both teams. The Bulls are surprisingly efficient with their three-point shooting, ranking fifth in three-point percentage, but their offense is the league’s 24th ranked unit. With the Bulls still being elite defensively, this team could afford K-Mart’s shortcomings on that end while enjoying his scoring impact.

For the Wolves, this deal would add to an already deep frontcourt, but Gibson could become a useful trade chip, or he could supply extra depth if Minnesota finds a way to unload Nikola Pekovic somewhere. Even if Gibson didn’t work out in Minny, his deal only lasts through 2016-17.

The Bulls are already solid with their perimeter attack, but they could use some extra bench scoring. This is a tough one to gauge, since Noah has been injury-prone lately and Chicago has now won six games in a row. But if that frontcourt logjam needs to be cleared out, this is one possible avenue.
