Top Four Point Guards

  1. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder ($10,700) vs. Sacramento Kings
  2. Ricky Rubio, Minnesota Timberwolves ($7,700) vs. Philadelphia 76ers
  3. Ish Smith, Philadelphia 76ers ($5,700) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
  4. Isaiah Thomas, Boston Celtics ($8,100) vs. Brooklyn Nets

Rationale:

  • The Sixers and T-Wolves are both in the bottom third against PGs over their past five games, but Rubio is a notch above Smith because he has surpassed the 37 fantasy point mark in four of his past five games, and the Lobos play much better on the road (7-9 vs. 12-22 overall). In addition, their game has a reasonably high total (208.5), so it seems prudent to recommend the primary ball handlers.
  • The Nets are in the lower third overall vs. opposing PGs and starter Jarret Jack is now lost for the season. Meanwhile the Celtics’ Avery Bradley will also miss tonight’s game so Thomas is less likely to have Marcus Smart usurp his minutes at PG.
