1. Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves

Almost at the halfway point in the season Towns pretty much has Rookie of the Year locked up.

He’s a freak of nature on both ends of the floor and he’s only getting better playing with another top talent in Andrew Wiggins and an emerging guard in Zach LaVine.

The Timberwolves will challenge anyone in the Western Conference in a few years. Towns is proving that now.

In three of his last five games he’s scored 20-plus points while also averaging 9.8 rebounds per game over that stretch. He scores from all over the floor, roams the paint on defense and plays hard every night.

I’m close to admitting he has more potential than Anthony Davis. Yes, he’s that good.
