Turn Those Assets Into A Star

Over the last few years, the Philadelphia 76ers are the only team in the association that’s stockpiled more future draft picks like they were nuclear warheads during the Cold War era. So what should the Boston Celtics do with all those assets they have on hand? Finally cash in, of course!

How general manager Danny Ainge accomplishes this remains to be seen. Does he package valuable picks to trade for a disgruntled star in search of a new situation? Or, with there being a dearth of players who fit that description, does he keep that ultra-valuable 2016 first round pick coming Boston’s way (from the Brooklyn Nets) and draft a franchise cornerstone?

Either way, it’s time to give Brad Stevens a shiny new toy to play with.
