Clean Up The Boards

Averaging 40.5 rebounds per game, the Atlanta Hawks are pulling down the fewest rebounds per game in the NBA. They’ve taken care of the defensive glass relatively well, but they average the fewest offensive rebounds (8.6 per game) and have the second worst rebound percentage in the league (47.3).

Because they hardly pull down rebounds from their own misses, the Hawks rank in the bottom five for second chance points, which is unfortunate since they are a top-10 offense otherwise.

Providing that offense with a few extra possessions every game could go a long way for a team that is 14-7 in games involving what NBA.com calls “clutch” situations.
