Low: Brandon Jennings Injury

Brandon Jennings suffered a ruptured left Achilles during a Jan. 24 contest against the Milwaukee Bucks. It couldn’t have come at a worse time for Jennings, who is set to be a free agent at the end of the 2015-16 season. He was averaging 20.9 points and 7.2 assists per game over a 13-game span that included three 30-point performances, three double-doubles and a 24-assist performance.

The Pistons were also playing their best basketball as a team, having won 12 of their last 16 games when Jennings went down. They would finish the season 15-23 without Jennings. His injury would certainly be a low point for the 2015 season.

However, Jennings did return to action on Tuesday with seven points and four assists in a loss against the Knicks. After sitting out for 11 months, Jennings looked healthy and ready to contribute, despite the team’s poor play defensively. The Pistons will look forward to having Jennings back and healthy.
