Detroit Pistons Highs And Lows Of 2015
The Detroit Pistons have had a roller coaster of a calendar year in 2015, and the year brought several bright moments and other not-so-bright moments.
The Detroit Pistons have been the beneficiaries of several moves to put a different product on the court for the 2015-16 season. However, the Pistons have also run into some troublesome moments during the calendar year.
President of basketball operations and head coach Stan Van Gundy has reshaped the Pistons team. Last year they finished 32-50, and are currently 17-15. The Pistons have improved mightily over last season, as they are looking to clinch their first playoff berth in seven seasons. Van Gundy has proven to be making the right moves in 2015 to compete with an improved Eastern Conference.
The fact that the Pistons already have more than half of their win total from last season is a good thing, despite the frustrations Pistons fans have following a bad 108-96 loss to the New York Knicks on Tuesday. Having 17 wins less than halfway through the season shows great progress for a youthful team.
The future is bright, thanks to several of the moves Van Gundy made during the 2015 calendar year. Some of the trades he made seem like something out of the NBA 2K series. He has done a good job at building this team to win now and for the future.
It’s time to dive into some of the highs and lows of the 2015 calendar year.
