Top Four Small Forwards

  1. LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers ($10,000) vs. Phoenix Suns
  2. Gordon Hayward, Utah Jazz ($7,400) vs. Philadelphia Sixers
  3. Chandler Parsons, Dallas Mavericks ($4,500) vs. Milwaukee Bucks
  4. Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs ($8,800) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Rationale:

  • The Sixers are the worst team in the league over their past 10 games vs. 3s and Hayward is coming off a 42.7 point game in his last outing. The former Butler Bulldog averages 21.6 PPG at Vivint Smart Home Arena as opposed to 16.2 PPG elsewhere.
  • The Bucks are third-most generous to small forwards over their last 10 games and Parsons has had his minutes restriction lifted, for all intents and purposes. The Mavs’ future poster boy has exceeded 32 fantasy points in three of his past four games, so he should continue to return starters’ value at a bench player’s cost.
  • Leonard was just OK vs. Minnesota last time out (36.2 fantasy points) but the Spurs built an early lead that was never relinquished, which limited him to 31 minutes. The T-Wolves are actually a better team on the road (7-7 vs. just 4-12 at the Target Center) so it’s feasible they could stay competitive for a longer stretch in the Alamo City.
