Oklahoma City Thunder: Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook’s Ranking In Dynamic Duos
8. John Wall and Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards
The only reason this dynamic duo is not higher up on this list is the health of Beal. Since entering the league in 2012, Beal has gone through a plethora of injuries that have forced him to miss nearly 50 games so far in his young career, and he is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks with a leg injury.
Wall has consistently been one of the top young guards in the league since being the No. 1 draft pick of the Washington Wizards in 2010. After having a great year and getting their team to the playoffs as the fifth seed and even sweeping the Toronto Raptors last season, they have taken a huge step back as a team this year.
Wall and Beal both have potential to become elite players at their respective positions and set the league on fire for years to come, but this happening is totally contingent on Beal’s health. It seems like as soon as they get into a rhythm and start to get on a roll, Beal goes down with another injury. If he were able to stay healthy, the sky is the limit for both them and the Wizards.
Their styles of play feed well off of each other, since Wall is excellent at getting to the basket and distributing the ball and Beal is an excellent shooter with one of the prettiest strokes in the NBA. Only time will tell for these two.
