Milwaukee Bucks: Admiral Ackbar

If you know the name Admiral Ackbar, you already know where this is going. But if not, Admiral Ackbar is the alien from Episode VI with a head that looks like a squid who endeared himself forever to Star Wars nerds with his famous Captain Obvious declaration of “IT’S A TRAP!”

For those who were buying into the Milwaukee Bucks and their potential after a surprising one-year turnaround from worst record in the league to playoff team, it definitely feels like being lured into a trap.

Last season, Milwaukee lost in the first round, but they took the Bulls to six games before bowing out. They scored free agent Greg Monroe over the summer despite Monroe having more prestigious options to choose from, and with a young core of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, Monroe, Khris Middleton and Michael Carter-Williams, the future was bright.

So far this season, Jason Kidd‘s squad has been a massive disappointment, sporting a 10-17 record. They snapped the Warriors’ win streak, sure, but then they went out and lost to the Lakers a few nights later! This team still has a bright future, but from Monroe tanking this team’s defense to MCW being unable to shoot to the Buck’s lowly record, the 2015-16 season has been a trap.
