Minnesota Timberwolves: Anakin Skywalker (Episode I Version)

We’ve mentioned a few things the Star Wars prequels got right, but one of the MAJOR decisions they botched was the casting of Anakin Skywalker in Episode I. No offense to child actor Jake Lloyd, but watching him was downright painful at times, even with the knowledge of the vitally important character he would become.

Likewise, the Minnesota Timberwolves are a young and promising team with the potential to rule the NBA galaxy one day. Between Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, the Force is strong with this one. However, even though we know the ceiling for their potential, they’ve been hard to watch at times this season.

That’s to be expected of course, since young superstars have to take their licks and feel those growing pains in order to ascend the NBA hierarchy, but watching them come out flat and choke away a few fourth quarters hasn’t been a pleasant viewing experience. One day, however, these awkward childhood years will grow into something fearsome to behold.
