The Golden State Warriors Starting 24-0

Granted, now they’re 24-1, but still. This kind of start has never happened in the NBA, or any of the big four American professional sports. Ever. Even if they were expected to be one of the best teams in the Association this season, it’s still pretty damn surprising that the Dubs were this good.

And as much credit as the Bucks deserve for finally managing to hand them an L, there is no denying how exhausted Stephen Curry and Draymond Green looked in their lone loss. More than playing on the second night of a back-to-back–which the Bucks also did–that exhaustion probably came from the streak itself.

They’re going to get most teams A-game every night anyway, but considering they were on such a crazy winning streak the Warriors were getting every team’s A-plus-plus game every night. It took incredible focus and determination to make it to mid-December without racking up a single loss, considering how badly 24 teams had wanted to hand them one.

Luckily for the Warriors, the Bucks breaking their streak is pretty good news. As seen in the above tweet, the last five teams to have at least 12 straight wins before losing to Milwaukee have all gone on to win the NBA Finals.

From a Bucks fan: you’re welcome, Steph, Klay and Draymond. Send us a postcard from the championship parade, will you?
