Brandon Ingram: A carbon copy of NBA superstar Kevin Durant?

Brandon Ingram, Duke

The lazy comparison for Ingram would be Kevin Durant. Every young player that’s skinny and has NBA height so early in his career, is cursed with the KD comparison. (Just ask 2016 recruit Thon Maker.)

But, Ingram does play like Durant offensively. He’s a versatile kid who can put the ball on the floor and get the basket when he wants, along with a strong shooting stroke. Ingram’s a solid threat from anywhere next season for Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Ingram’s nowhere near the killer Durant was at this age, but he’s got a fluid game that can translate well in Coach K’s system. Duke runs one of the best offenses in the college game, so Ingram will have plenty of touches to showcase his stellar offensive skills.

Is he the third-best prospect? I don’t think so. At least not at this time. Could he be? By the end of the season, it’s a possibility.
