Utah Jazz: 5 Players That Could Have Breakout Seasons
3. Rodney Hood
His foot might be made of glass, but Rodney Hood’s game is made of pure steel. Last season, Hood sustained multiple injuries to his foot, which left his rookie season tormented by bench splinters. This year though, Hood’s foot is recovered, but he’s nursing a sore shoulder now.
When he’s finally cleared at 100 percent, Utah could have a player in Hood that might be able to win the Sixth Man of the Year award. He brings a rare skill set because he’s a shooter that understands how to break his man off of the dribble. When he does that, he’s deadly as a passer because he knows how to spot the open man and get him the basketball.
Due to the fact that he’s been injured in his short stint as an NBA player, people don’t realize how good he really is. Hood’s going to come in the game next season and thrive in the sixth man role.
