Rodney Hood

Last year the most impressive rookie for Utah was Rodney Hood. This year Hood could become their best player off of the bench.

We know what Hood was doing in the offseason, working out and getting better. It’s safe to say that he loves the game. During the offseason Hood was working out at IMG Academy with other professionals. His grind to become a better player was on display as he gave other professionals the business.

Look at that jumper off the dribble!!

Keep in mind though that Hood is still dealing with injuries. They plagued him in his rookie season and they haven’t stopped yet. Hood has been nursing a sore left shoulder injury that he develop over the offseason. It was so much of a pain that Hood was held out of a Summer League practice because of the injury.

However still look for Hood to participate in games during the Summer League. We’ll all get the chance to see if he’s finally got a consistent jump shot to add with the smooth game that he has. It might be early but the sharper he looks the better the Jazz will be.
