Looks like D’Angelo Russell is feeling better. After canceling his previous workout with the Philadelphia 76ers due to being “real sick” per Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey, the captivating combo guard performed in front of the organization Wednesday, according to Sheridan Hoops’ Michael Scotto.

It’s fathomable to expect the team to have tested Russell’s mettle in designed sets. Where he likes to operate, if his physique has changed, and his rapport with a newfound organization whose interest is evident all could have transpired during the showcase.

Great. While it’s not a thorough and elaborate quote, at least Russell was allowed access to the media. His counterpart, and rival to be the No. 1 point guard off the board, Emmanuel Mudiay, also worked out for the organization Tuesday after having dinner with the team Monday.
The two star point guard prospects are the only players among the draft’s premier talents to schedule a workout with the Sixers. Personnel attended Kristaps Porzingis’ workout, but so did every other organization in the Association.
Both Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor are fixated among going in the top two picks as Towns refused to work out in Philadelphia and Okafor’s camp is reportedly not interested in the City of Brotherly Love.
Russell easily provides the Sixers with the best possible fit in the draft who could play either guard position and jolt a rusty offensive attack.
The team has gotten looks at both floor generals in Russell and Mudiay and have a dubious decision to make next Thursday. The Sixers could be enticed enough to value a player’s workout into their draft strategy. Whether it’s Russell or Mudiay remains the intriguing question.
