J.P. Tokoto

As much as I love the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program, you shouldn’t believe the hype about their team next season.

The biggest reason for that is J.P. Tokoto. What you’ve seen for the last three years from Tokoto is an athlete that learned how to play basketball. Roy Williams has to get a lot of credit because Tokoto was known for his defense and his ability to get to the rim in transition and now he’s known as a playmaker.

The Tar Heels this season didn’t run plays for Tokoto and when he got the basketball created shots for his teammates.

The Utah Jazz are in need of playmakers on their offense. Thankfully they have Rodney Hood on their bench in order to create shots. Tokoto could help along with that assignment in addition to taking on the most difficult defensive tasks.

On another note: I’m secretly wishing the Miami Heat draft him otherwise.
