3. Warriors Took Houston’s Best Effort

The Rockets were pretty darn impressive in Game 4 and they did what they needed to do in order to stave off elimination once again. In fact, Houston has been competitive in every single game of the Western Conference Finals except for that blowout Game 3.

But with Curry not on his top game, not to mention Harden dropping a 45-9-5, his team draining 17-of-32 three-pointers and the Rockets playing at home in an elimination game…the Dubs STILL only lost by 13. If that’s what it takes for the Rockets to win in this series, which they’ll have to do three more times, Golden State will live with that.

Aside from Game 3, the Beard has been phenomenal in the conference finals, so one should expect his MVP-caliber production to continue. Curry’s absence last night was not the reason behind Golden State’s defeat, and the Rockets are the kings of resilience in these playoffs by going a perfect 4-0 in elimination games thus far.

But Houston was due for a hot shooting night and probably won’t be able to make 53 percent of that many three-point attempts again, especially on the road. There’s a decent chance we may have already seen the best the Rockets have to offer.
