In Transition

This shouldn’t be too surprising since the Warriors are the NBA’s leader in fast break points, but Andre Iguodala has been noticeably active in transition with the second unit.

Since the All-Star break, when Iguodala’s offensive production suddenly spiked, nearly 28 percent of Iggy’s output has come from easy transition points. He’s averaging 2.9 fast break points per game since the break, turning rebounds into quick scoring opportunities.

At the age of 31, Iguodala’s athleticism isn’t what it once was. But that also hasn’t stopped him from throwing down a variety of vintage dunks once he gets out in transition:

Pretty every player on the Warriors’ roster is having the season of their careers so far. That doesn’t apply to Iguodala, but he does looks revitalized getting out in transition with the Dubs. He’s capable of running the break and facilitating as well, but watching Stephen Curry find him in the open court for thundering dunks is just pure, Grade-A fun:

For a player whose shooting has never been his strongest suit, Iguodala is capitalizing on Golden State’s up-tempo playing style and getting buckets in the easiest way possible.
