Derrick making life very Favorable

Anyone can see it in the headlines,

Stay Patient Utah Jazz Fans, Soon Enough Derrick Favors Will Make The NBA All-Star Game, Favors comes through when Jazz need him most“…..Derrick Favors is slowly becoming the best player on the Utah Jazz.

Favors has been interestingly enough become the person who the Jazz look for on offense more than their small forward, Gordon Hayward. Because of the addition of his mid-range jump shot, Favors has become a nuisance for other power forwards in the league to guard.

In his last five games Favors is averaging a double-double as he’s averaged 18 points on 58 percent shooting, 9.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game.

Additionally, the way that Favors has been playing defensively alongside Rudy Gobert has been masterful. Favors has enough sense, and a presence to understand that he can gamble more on defense with Gobert guarding his back. Because of it Favors has been able to challenge more shots, gamble more in the passing lanes, and to not get worried if he didn’t rotate fast enough.

The way that Favors has played along with Gobert in the paint is special, the two look like the can form the best frontline in the NBA.
