What five reasons can be given to prove that the Indiana Pacers will be able to make a run at the postseason after a very rough start to the season.

The Indiana Pacers have been through a lot of drama already this season, but they still have a shot of making the NBA Playoffs. Paul George hasn’t played a game this season after breaking his leg while playing for Team USA in the offseason, and Lance Stephenson decided to sign with the Charlotte Hornets in free agency.

More from Indiana Pacers

Those two players were the Pacers’ best two players last season, and it is a completely different basketball team from what it has been over the past two years. Despite the changes, they actually are a better version of the type of basketball team that they have been in their last two seasons. All that they need to get back to being a legitimate title contender is to get George back on the court healthy.

According to reports, it appears that George is targeting a mid-March return to the floor despite the severity of his broken leg last summer.

If the Pacers do indeed get George back, then they are going to be a very difficult team to deal with down the stretch of the season. They are already beginning to play better basketball, but they haven’t had their superstar all season long. That being said, it is going to be a battle to get into the playoffs to begin with.
