Gasol brothers not a major factor

Coming into this matchup, both Pau and Marc Gasol were playing well for the respective teams. Marc Gasol’s averages included 19.8 points, 7.8 rebounds 3.7 assists per contest. On the flip side of the equation, Pau Gasol was averaging 18.7 points 11.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and two blocks per outing.

Despite being one of the key matchups in this contest, neither of the big men played well. Pau Gasol scored just six points on 2-for-7 shooting. And although his 11 rebounds helped lead the Bulls to a 51-45 edge on the boards, he didn’t have much of an impact from an offensive standpoint.

Marc Gasol fared somewhat better, scoring 13 points to go along with 10 rebounds. But he connected on just five of his 15 attempts from the floor.
