Tayshaun Prince

Game: Dec. 5, Memphis vs. San Antonio 101-107

Stats: 20 points, 2 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 block

I like to think that an electromagnetic disturbance caused the 2007 version of Tayshaun Prince to time travel to Memphis on this night. Once everyone realized what had happened, the 34-year-old version of Prince agreed to hang back in the locker room while young Tayshaun took the floor.

Prince looked fantastic in a loss to the Spurs. He finished with 20 points and most notably went 4-of-4 from three-point range. He also threw down a few dunks to remind everyone that he can still get up when he has to.

All in all, it’s been a decent start to the season for Prince. He is certainly playing better than he was last year. He is only averaging 8.3 points per game, but he has raised his field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and his PER significantly.

He is picking his spots nicely, playing solid defense, and knocking down corner threes. His limited role in Memphis is perfect for him during the latter stages of his career.
